Finally, I get to sleep in today as there is nothing scheduled this morning. The supermarket is open, so we get supplies. Grocery shopping in a foreign country is always interesting – I forgot that you need to weigh the fruit first, so we forgo the bananas in the checkout line.
We are taking advantage of the washer today and doing some laundry. It is good to just chill out, download pictures, and try to catch up on the blog. Later this evening we have a wine tasting scheduled in the Barrio Italia region; a short walk from our apartment.
The wines are excellent, and our tasting guide is young and enthusiastic. At the end, the owners kindly provide us with a ride back to our apartment with their small daughter riding shotgun.

Chores today – groceries, laundry, catch up on email. We’ve been pretty busy this trip so a quiet day of just hanging around is great.
We scheduled a wine tasting at ‘Uncorked’ a short (and safe) walk from our apartment. It’s a nice introduction to our upcoming tours of the Central Valley wine regions.
